La Maison Michelle is a Black-owned luxury villa created by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Michelle Ifill-Jenkins and Guy Jenkins.
The property’s story has deep roots in Barbados. Michelle’s father, Dr. Gordon Ifill, originally envisioned developing the land on the island’s West Coast after purchasing it with his wife, Beverly, decades ago. Michelle and Guy later brought that family vision to life, designing and developing La Maison Michelle into the seven-suite luxury retreat it is today.
A Brown University and Harvard Law School graduate with a long career in corporate law, Michelle brought her entrepreneurial vision and eye for design to the project, personally shaping much of the villa’s distinctive interior aesthetic.
Today, La Maison Michelle represents both Black-owned Caribbean luxury hospitality and a multigenerational Barbadian family legacy, with the next generation of the family also involved in the business.
