Kalimba Beach Resort is owned by Gambian hospitality entrepreneurs Malleh Sallah and Omar Jawara and forms part of their locally owned Djeliba Leisure Group.
The partners have developed a growing portfolio of Gambian-owned resorts that includes Kalimba, TUI BLUE Tamala, Balafon and Djembe. The group’s success represents significant local ownership within The Gambia’s beachfront tourism industry.
Kalimba Beach Resort opened in December 2019 as a contemporary African-style resort designed around its beachfront setting and large interconnected swimming pool.
