Ownership and Heritage

Dover Beach Hotel was founded in 1977 by Black Barbadian hotelier Robert “Jeffrey” Kinch. For more than four decades, the property has remained under the ownership of the Kinch family.

Jeffrey Kinch’s daughter, Adua Kinch, joined the family business and became managing director in 2014. Under her leadership, Dover Beach Hotel continues its legacy as an independent, Black-owned and woman-led Barbadian hospitality business.
