Black Ownership and Family Heritage

Angels View is a Black family-owned South African luxury hotel created by Dr. Reuel Khoza and his wife, Mumsy Khoza. The prominent Khoza family, originally from Acornhoek, developed the hotel as a lasting hospitality legacy inspired by their love of Mpumalanga and the beauty of the God’s Window escarpment.

Family heritage is woven throughout the property. Individual suites are named after significant members of the Khoza and Thaledi clans, while Mumsy’s restaurant honors the family matriarch.

The hotel’s interiors were created by acclaimed South African designer Donald Nxumalo, who blended contemporary luxury with African influences, Shangaan-inspired patterns and distinctive Xibelani motifs.
