In 2026, Benus Trade and Invest (Pty) Ltd acquired sole control of Forever Resorts South Africa following approval of the transaction by South Africa’s Competition Tribunal.
Benus is associated with Community Investment Holdings (CIH), the diversified South African investment group co-founded by Prof. Anna Mokgokong and Joe Madungandaba.
CIH is a Black-owned, women-led South African investment group, with Prof. Mokgokong recognized as one of South Africa’s prominent Black women entrepreneurs.
The transaction brought Plettenberg and the wider Forever Resorts portfolio under new Black ownership while retaining the established Forever Resorts name and hospitality operations.
