Set along the waterfront just outside the heart of Cruz Bay, St. John, Sea Shore Allure is an intimate Black-owned boutique resort in the USVI offering spacious condo-style suites, ocean views and easy access to the beaches, restaurants and natural beauty that make St. John one of the Caribbean’s most beloved island escapes.
With just eight luxury suites, Sea Shore Allure offers a more private alternative to a large Caribbean resort. Guests enjoy the independence of a vacation rental—including full kitchens and generous living space—combined with resort-style amenities and personalized service.
Sea Shore Allure offers one-, two- and three-bedroom accommodations designed for couples, families and groups. Suites feature upscale Caribbean-inspired interiors, king-size beds, air conditioning and fully equipped kitchens, with larger units providing plenty of room for longer island stays.
Property highlights include:
Location is one of Sea Shore Allure’s biggest advantages. Guests can enjoy a peaceful waterfront setting while remaining close to the restaurants, shops, nightlife and ferry connections of Cruz Bay.
St. John’s celebrated beaches and Virgin Islands National Park are also within easy reach, making Sea Shore Allure an appealing home base for travelers interested in snorkeling, hiking, beach hopping, sailing and exploring the island.
Unlike a conventional hotel room, the property’s condo-style accommodations provide kitchens and considerably more living space. That can make Sea Shore Allure especially attractive for longer stays, families and groups traveling together.
Sea Shore Allure contains only eight accommodations: four one-bedroom units, two two-bedroom units and two three-bedroom units.
The intimate size gives the property a distinctly different atmosphere from a large Caribbean resort. Travelers looking for privacy and independence can enjoy their own spacious accommodations while still having amenities such as a pool, hot tub and concierge service available on the property.
The waterfront setting is another highlight, with beautiful Caribbean views and sunsets providing a backdrop for an island stay.
Sea Shore Allure is a locally owned boutique resort created by Virgin Islanders Delrise Varlack and Delbert Parsons, who bring decades of experience in the U.S. Virgin Islands tourism and customer-service industries.
Delrise comes from one of St. John’s longstanding transportation families. She is the daughter of Rodney Varlack, founder of Varlack Ventures, the family company that grew from island transportation services into one of the operators providing passenger ferry service between St. John and St. Thomas. Today, Delrise helps manage and operate the second-generation family business alongside other members of the Varlack family.
Together, Delrise Varlack and Delbert Parsons developed Sea Shore Allure as an intimate eight-suite waterfront property near Cruz Bay, describing the resort as part of their commitment to investing in St. John, creating opportunities within the community and building a legacy for future generations.
Sea Shore Allure is currently being offered for sale. Black Hotel Guide will continue monitoring the property so its ownership classification can be updated if a sale is completed.
Although St. John is the smallest of the three main U.S. Virgin Islands, much of the island is protected as Virgin Islands National Park, creating an extraordinary combination of Caribbean beaches, tropical landscapes, hiking trails and historic sites.
Popular experiences include Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay, Maho Bay, Hawksnest Bay, Waterlemon Cay and the trails and historic ruins scattered throughout the national park.
And for U.S. citizens, St. John offers another major advantage: a passport is generally not required when traveling directly between the U.S. mainland and the U.S. Virgin Islands, making it one of the Caribbean’s most accessible tropical escapes for American travelers.
