Ownership & Heritage
De Hoek Country Hotel is owned by South African entrepreneurs Isaac and Khumo Shongwe. The Shongwes became involved with the hotel before acquiring the shares of former co-owner Michael Holenstein in 2017.
Under their ownership, De Hoek has continued as a distinguished South African country hotel centered on luxury hospitality, fine cuisine, local art and personalized service. Khumo Shongwe serves as an owner and director of the property, which identifies itself as a Level 1 B-BBEE business.
