Ownership & Heritage

Negril Treehouse Resort grew from a family venture on Jamaica’s Seven Mile Beach. Jamaican hotelier James “Jimmy” Jackson developed the property in the early 1980s with his wife, Gail Jackson, who has helped lead the resort for more than four decades. Gail continues to identify herself as its owner.  The Jacksons expanded the resort over the years while keeping the personal feel that made it a fixture in Negril. For travelers seeking a stay with roots in the local hospitality community, Treehouse offers a connection to the family behind the property and its long history on the beach.
